i love art and media that has been produced under capitalism too. but if you don't understand they ARE products, we ARE the consumers, you fail to see what is so terribly wrong with arts under capitalism. everything is commodified. even the things you love. there is no exception.

true with all industries. all the advice from ADs/famous animators is always "you gotta stand out!" but the film needs to make money. the film has to adhere to the pretty palette and cute designs. you follow the trends if you want to get hired. if you stand out you will conform soon anyway
