I just watched Mary Poppins. Hits different as an adult. There’s nothing more fairy tale than the idea of sudden and fundamental change in attitude (especially as a result of a sentiment). Still a teary bop, though.

My 3yo is hilarious. With a pretend ice cream store, they ask what I want and then say “No, you will have this ice cream.” And sometimes even “no, you do not get any. Next time, maybe.” Brutal! 😂

I just finished Dämoren by @sskorkowsky.bsky.social and it just leapt off the page at me… like in a good way, not a facehugger-alien kind of way. Well, sort of in that way because my kindle was constantly in my face. The point is you should go read the book. I’m off to start Hounacier. a.co/7PkG21w

If you haven’t seen this man’s videos or read any of his books you are missing some fantastic work! The success is well-deserved. Check out damn near any of his stuff. I’m reading Dämoren right now - highly recommended!

I’m currently reading Dämoren by @sskorkowsky.bsky.social and it has been the most gripping story for me in a long while… I’ve just touched 50% on it and I can’t wait to see where it goes! Already willing to recommend it… (tentatively, pending completion)

Over the decades I've had my share of shitty opinions where I was ultimately on the wrong side. One of the best tests is to look around at who shares your opinion, and if you start thinking, "Wow, there's a whole lotta assholes here," it becomes easier to listen to what the other side is saying.
