Authoritarians depend on you obeying in advance and not resisting. Every act of disruption weakens them and slows down their plan. It's a crack. The cracks add up. This is why what Cory Booker is doing is important compared to the weak complicity of Schumer and others.

The SAVE Act is another bogus attempt by Republicans to suppress the vote — this time, targeting women. It’d make it damn near impossible for millions who changed their name after marriage to vote. This isn’t about integrity. It’s suppression. We’re not letting it slide.

Individuals are being disappeared by the Trump administration. A Maryland man who was legally residing in the United States was deported to El Salvador and subsequently imprisoned due to what officials described as an “administrative error.” In a court filing, the Trump administration argued that

Senator Cory Booker has started his 19th hour on the Senate floor during his filibuster.

"I don't understand how we can be a nation with so much wealth and abundance and we haven't figured out a way to design a system where, when you invest in the wellbeing of people, people thrive."
