Don't read a lot of memoir but this was enjoyable. I loved TG/TGT and have always been interested in the production side because they really made some top caliber stuff and made it look easy. Wilman has a sympathetic and likable perspective and does a good job covering 22 years of work in this

An interesting premise, but I didn't realize it is from 2005! I think he makes some good arguments questioning the idea that media is making us dumber, but I think he's missing some parts as well and also needs to revisit these arguments in 2025

Highly recommend "Little Bosses Everywhere" by Bridget Read, it details MLMs mostly but in looking there finds through lines that permeate through the whole economy. Fascinating and bleak stuff

Red Tailed Hawk I saw on a hike when I happened to have my big lens on me // Peregrine Falcon spotted in same area of Santa Monica Mountains // Bald Eagle spotted from my car driving around Bass Lake CA

It's pretty dumb how much economic and societal dysfunction ties back to a handful of bastards and how much there actually has been an ongoing plot to squeeze everyone and extract and control all wealth

Books like these make a person realize that there really has been a conspiracy against the American people and the middle class to siphon and monopolize all wealth and I think it's worthwhile to learn about the people who conducted it

Forgot to update this thread, but I've also not been reading as much! however I did finish this trilogy and I found the third book a bit less enjoyable than the previous two, still satisfying but just didn't quite reach the same heights as the others imo
