anyone else? tired of the word "unprecedented"?

it feels like I've been bombarded with this word since at least 2020.

can we please have one day that's"totally precedented"?

like one day where the news says, " nothing to see here, just a normal boring ass day" lol

Credit to artist John Hendrix. If you haven't picked up his collection of short comics called "the holy Ghost", definitely worth it.

While I refuse to "hate" another human being, I hate the ideology and policies that Trump often represents. I do so BECAUSE I love this country, and believe in the gloriously diverse, equitable, and just melting pot that it CAN be when we value love over profit.

On Memorial Day, we remember the sacrifices that our men and women in uniform and their families have made to preserve our freedom. May we always strive to honor the strength and resolve they’ve shown our country.

How much hatred must you have in your heart for a particular people group that you would essentially say "your blood is not even worthy to be spilled for our country"?

How much hatred to waste man hours and taxpayer dollars to pass legislation to guard us against 0.2% of a population?

Shameful

Oof, the prophet Jeremiah keeps cutting deep. But as it was then, we need to hear it

Random thought I had today, would love to get some feedback on it:

"Social media is like fast food for human connection. While we can all agree that fast food is convenient, we can also all agree that it struggles to provide any meaningful and healthy nourishment"

Thought I'd share this line from my daily prayer newsletter today, I really needed to hear this one today, and I hope it will bless you too

"though darkness tries hard to steal our joy away, we choose to rest in You. Thank you Lord that You are our firm foundation."

I toiled with what to give up during this Lenten season.

The decision I've reached is that during Lent I am going to give up the news and, at least for myself, The outrage addiction, that comes with it.

What I'd like to put in its place are things that supply HOPE.

Anyone got any ideas?
