Yesterday evening, my brother-in-law, Steve, passed away from pancreatic cancer. He was 46 years old.

Fuck cancer and fuck a pancreas. Seriously.

Jess Aber & I were co-clerks in the EDVA almost twenty years ago. She had an extraordinary influence on my career and helped shape me into the attorney I am today. She set the standard. Most importantly, she was my friend, and I will miss her dearly.
