LLMs for coding is basically an (imperfect) tool that replaces the skill of Googling and skimming stack overflow threads. I start a project with a rough idea of what I want to do, and the LLM helps me with all the little implementation details

I've been using tensor decompositions lately and it's cool as shit, basically principal component analysis for higher dimensional datasets. I've seen some articles connecting it to topic modelling too
