Anyway I'm making stock from 3 free roosters a lady gave me. I butchered and roasted them and now they're simmering overnight for me to pressure can in the morning. I also have 4 gallons of apples to can into apple butter.

I rode up on the box of an authentic (HANDMADE!!) reproduction stagecoach today! I showed up to visit a friend and the crew roped me in to helping out since they were shorthanded. This is a 4 in hand team of mules

There's a brewing store in Eugene and I have to be in Lebanon tomorrow so I'll make a side trip and get the right sized bung. In the meantime, paper towels and ponytail holders are doing the trick

I genuinely don't know if it's supposed to be pushing the bubbles into the air lock BUT it does mean the yeast is yeasting! 1 gallon wild plum juice, 1 cup sugar because I'm winging this, D47 wine yeast, and an airlock that doesn't fit so it's taped.

I had so much fun, I'm so glad I took the time to do this. I even managed the 700' elevation climb over 1.1 mile trail in about 20 minutes!

The boat tours on Crater Lake close after this summer, reopening in 2029. Despite growing up 70 miles from Crater, I've never done the boat tour.
Tomorrow for my 32nd birthday I'm taking myself on a boat tour.

My garden is doing beautiful things. My plum tree is ripening, my zucchini are growing in, my strawberries aren't doing much worthwhile this year but next year will be great!
