"The Deep House" (2021) is not a masterpiece, but it is filmed almost entirely underwater, and its atmosphere is truly special.

"Southbound" (2015) is a horror anthology directed by various members of the Radio Silence collective, set on a desert highway between guilt, redemption, and eternal damnation. Cheap but fun.

Based on the Stephen King short story of the same name. "The Monkey" (2025) is the story of two twins forced to deal with a cursed toy monkey that preys on anyone who encounters it: over-the-top gore that's more hilarious than scary, but that's fine.

From the director of my beloved Barbarian, "Weapons" (2025) is an ensemble horror film that weaves multiple stories around a mysterious collective tragedy. The film explores, not so subtly, the latent violence in American society, but with a twist that I didn't expect.

I'm not a big fan of movies based on true stories, and I hate Ouija board movies, but "Veronica" (2017) is a great exception. And Sister Death rules.

Until recently considered a lost medium, "Door" (1988) is proof that call centers and spam calls were a major problem even in bubble-era Japan. Tense but at times bizarre, just as we love it from the land of the rising sun.

"Alice, Sweet Alice" (1976) is a critique of religion, domestic violence, and paranoia, anticipating the themes and atmosphere of 1980s psychological slashers.
Mask included.

"Bring Her Back" (2025) is powerful and visceral, perfect for those seeking strong thrills but less suitable for those who prefer stories with clear explanations.
(TW EVERYTHING from the opening credits onwards ⚠️⚠️)

Tense and claustrophobic, "The Invitation" (2015) is set during a dinner among friends that slowly turns into a nightmare. Because it's a sin to think badly, but you're often right.

Do you miss Jason? A LOT of gore (TW ⚠️) with no pretense of a plot? "In a violent nature" (2024) is the reason why I hate yoga.

Are you enjoying Silent Hill f? Set in Korea rather than Japan, Kim Jee-woon's "Two Sisters" (2003) is a refined psychological horror that intertwines family drama and the supernatural.

"Re-Animator" (1985) is a cult horror splatter film loosely inspired by a Lovecraft story, with a unique twist of black humor and cheap gore.
Always a fun ride. 💚💉

Remember that sticker/gif you send each other in the office chat while talking about your boss, with the famous exploding head? The scene is from David Cronenberg's "Scanners" (1981).
A cult film about paranoia and a reflection on the power of the mind.

Mockumentary + found footage? Sign me up! "Hell House LLC" (2015) is considered a classic in the genre for a reason. The sequels are pretty questionable, but the first one isn't bad at all. #ValentineHalloween2025

It's time for the unknown found footage of the day, yay! "Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital" (2024) is funnier than I expected, despite the basic ESP premise of a TV show gone bad.

Still vaguely themed, "Them" (2006) is based on a true story that's quite disturbing in its banality. We just wanted to play...

Let's get back to the violence. "When Evil Lurks" (2023) is one of the most brutal and cruel films of recent years. I imagine none of those complaining about the violence in Terrifier 3 have ever seen it. ⚠️TW: CHILDREN.

Everyone has seen it by now, but it's a must-see: “Nosferatu (2024) is like a custom-made gothic dress, beautiful to look at, but a little uncomfortable at times. As it should be. God bless the Skarsgård family. 🖤

Speaking of toxic relationships but switching genres entirely, the film version of Edgar Allan Poe's short story "The Masque of the Red Death" (1964) starring Vincent Price is practically a theatrical show.
Needless to say, Vincent Price is always Amazing.❤️

Are you among those who address chat gpt in a suspiciously polite manner? "Christine" (1983) is the "touching love story" between a boy and his car, which, however, is a little jealous.

Change of setting, but not the menu: "Bone Tomahawk" (2015) is a western with very well-developed characters and an excellent cast, the action is all towards the last half, but it pays off with an infamous TW ⚠️🩸 scene that would make Art the clown pale.

Still hungry? "Raw" (2016) tackles the topic of growing up as only the French know how: raw and violent, without filters. For strong stomachs only.
