If you're a person of faith, it's a serious test of that faith to pray for someone you detest. That's a good reason to try and do it.
Not celebrating but no thoughts or prayers for him either.

My thoughts & prayers are reserved for those who want to implement common sense gun laws to protect all, especially children.

Every single person in the United States of America should be extremely alarmed that Charlie Kirk has been shot and killed for his political views, even if his views were not aligned with yours. ESPECIALLY if his views were not yours.

One thing is for certain and we’d suspected it for some time: the Iranian regime has deep security cracks giving Mossad intelligence moles - as seen by the precision of targeting, to know where people were sleeping at 3:30am.

"The creation of a Palestinian state — or just a credible process toward one with backing from most Arab states — would strip Tehran of its ideological cover. All that would be left is a government that can’t provide its citizens with electricity, salaries, or security." - @kianpourworld.bsky.social
A Trump deal for Palestine could tame Iran’s regime
By stripping Tehran of its last excuse to confront Israel, Trump could trigger a transformation in an already isolated and economically weakened Iran.

Some words from yours truly on President Trump’s trip to the Gulf in the UAE’s oldest English language newspaper.

Trump heads to UAE, Saudi, Qatar eyeing more investment, diplomacy, experts say
A major highlight of Trump’s stop in Saudi Arabia will be a Gulf-US summit. There will likely be a joint statement that will address issues pertaining to Gaza, Lebanon or Iran

President Trump changing the name of the Gulf ahead of his trip to the region is more likely a move to make the Arabs happy than necessarily to make the Persians mad—which it will. It’s the one thing everyone agrees on, whether pro- or anti-regime: it’s the Persian Gulf.

Who’s the future of the Democratic Party? I raise you Senator Cory Booker. Having covered him in my congressional correspondent days, I wondered when his time would come. He made history today with a 24 hr speech speaking out against the Trump admin - breaking Strom Thurmond’s record set in 1957.

I’m not sure anyone on this platform, which appears to be the X liberal alternative, is watching @newsmax.com, but former Deputy National Security Adviser KT McFarland says re Iran she wouldn’t be surprised if by the end of the year there’s a ‘deal, relationship or they’re in an even worse place’

Them: start your own business.
Entrepreneurship: the lows are repeated slaps in the face, the highs are “yay this person didn't ignore me!" Bank the win and survive off that for 3 months.

To be fair, this is not much different to journalism: it looks glamorous on TV but the BTS grind is brutal.

Hanging out in BlueSky feels like transporting back to the good old days of 2010. Shakespeare asked “what’s in a name?” Well, everything. This place is light and the other is dark. My own name Suzanne means the intensity of the fire in Farsi and my parents really didn’t think this through 😂

TikTok is modern soft power at its peak, reshaping global views. In Dubai, it’s flipping the script: “I trust China more,” people say, brushing off U.S. data security concerns with “WhatsApp & Instagram do the same.” U.S. policymakers must rethink public diplomacy in this new digital era.
