Dear Microsoft Word: no i do not want to "paste with copilot AI". i will never want to paste with AI of any kind. The whole point of copy-paste is that i can move things from one place to another unchanged. Adding a mytery hallucination box to the process in no way will ever improve it.

- GOP has to keep stopping the speech to have them removed individually

A lot of people seem to looking at the Trump / Melania meme coins as a way to grift their base, instead of a way for foreign governments to launder cash to buy favorable actions. They arent raising billions in "investments" from random MAGA voters.

I think 2009 was the turning point on this. The Green movement in Iran showed how vulnerable authoritarian regimes were to the free flpw of information, so they quickly set to work putting firewalls in place to segenent the internet along national lines.

periodically I look around at the state of the internet and the way it is clearly contributing to making the world worse in so many ways, and I think back to dicking around in a computer lab in the early 00s and how full of promise it all felt, and I feel sad

Geordi was named for his deep rumblimg purr, which my wife claims resembles the USS Enterprise's warp engine, which lead to naming him after the ship's engineer, Geordi La Forge. He is employing to its full extent here, as he attempts to convince me it is time for more treats.
