Going down a rabbit hole on the Appalshop Archive, and discovered Lee Sexton, a banjo player and coal miner from Eastern Kentucky, and how he would play his banjo in the coal mines on his lunch break (despite his boss' protests). He was also a roving picketer. appalshoparchive.org/Gallery/83
