The economy collapsing and the rich still polluting their way to space is just wrong.

Capital of the Achaemenid Persian Empire. This empire was formed by Cyrus the great and lasted from 550BCE until 330BCE. The first large multicultural empire spanning across 3 continents. The Macedonians, who eventually usurped the Persians, were just one of the many subjects within its borders.

Watching all these archeologists on social media rush to give everyone the real facts on what this pyramid discovery is awesome. These are the people you want to listen to not "Daily Mail" or some conspiracy page. @annelisebaer.bsky.social is a great archeologist who explains this find well.

The city of Cahokia located by St. Louis thrived until the late 14th century. This city was one of many similar villages sprawling the Mississippi River Valley from St. Paul to New Orleans. A complex Native American society that traded in copper, Hides, art, tools all over North and Central America.

Loving the stories of history means dealing w/ pple who say they like history just to find out they're racist, sexist, misogynists who use history to create their dark fantasies. "Oh, my boyfriend likes history. Just WW2 and Rome tho. He's also a cop." Such a red flag...

Knowing that Hannibal Barca lived a life that was from Birth to his death more epic than anything I've ever seen in modern media is truly a shame. He was given a quest as a child, swore an oath to his father, and against all odds etched his name into history for eternity. He needs a movie.

Hollywood saw hoplite armor once and never let it go. The picture of Matt Damon in Nolan's new Odyssey movie is so disappointing.

A man with over $100,000,000,000 is firing people making $40,000/yr because they cost too much.

Having a strong core is SO important to living a pain-free life. I understand working out is not for everyone but I truly believe taking the time to consistently do core exercises is one of the biggest forms of self-love you can do. Older you will be so happy. Love yourself for yourself!

Belisarius truly deserves the title "The Last Roman". Even though Rome didn't fall till 900 years after his death this is still the best way imo to get into Medieval Roman History. The culture is fascinating. The stories are reminiscent of Herodotus. I'm blessed to own a cloth-bound copy of this.

Seeing more and more people acting w/ prejudice in my day to day is really disheartening. Literally worse than 4 years ago. It's the little things that add up to dehumanizing someone.

The enemy is not the one who looks or acts differently than you. The enemy is the one who hoards wealth.

"And indeed, it is easier to find people who risk death of their own free will than those who bear suffering patiently." -Julius Ceaser, Book VII, Ch. 77

For more context, the city of Alesia is under seige. The defenders have ran out of supplies and are advocating for a suicidal attempt to escape.

If I was a billionaire I'd build large megalithic structures all over the world. Then erase my name from history so future generations could have a mystery.
