I have reached the point that "please call your representatives" means that representatives and senators supposedly on my side are so completely the fuck out of touch they don't recognize good policy from bad and only care about getting along with Republicans.

Something that bothers me about the crowd that insists we can just bring manufacturing jobs back to the US is that they assume these jobs are easy. I promise you if the average American was asked to do a garment workers’ job for one day, they would give up.

I get the instinct to tell them to go to hell but in our two party system it’s much easier to take over one of the existing parties than it is to start from scratch.
