I think the Colbert thing is poorly supported by evidence. He was a big money pit, it's entirely reasonable that they axed him for non political reasons. Now they might *also* have thought it would help with the merger but to say that they cancelled him just for that is bad science.

I never really liked that storyline, but it was a million times better than the garbage which replaced it. I despise Disney with the fire of a thousand suns for deleting decades of canon in favor of "the same story but worse".

I had a funny thought. The 60k are mostly D (I assume) but cannot be entirely; there must be some Rs. And the Ds are much more likely to try to cure their votes. So it's technically possible for him to *lose* votes by winning his case.

I didn't get a good photo but Raleigh was probably a good 3k. The area wasn't huge but it was *packed* and there were also plenty of people in/around the quad behind it.

I know we're dunking on WSJ, but that's a thing they do. There's always a "silly" article on the front page. You can even see it has different typography than the serious articles.

My dog refused to take more than two steps outside until I swept the tiny layer of snow off the walkway.

I mean they were defrauded, I don't think that's in doubt. The issue is that the fraudster went bankrupt, they accepted their fast but partial payout, and now they want all their money. That's not how it works.
Also the fraud was super obvious to anyone with half a brain, but that's not relevant.
