Happy Lunar New Year! I baked these almond cookies for church coffee hour to celebrate. A fun bake, and they were yummy. Recipe from King Arthur Baking Company.

We are having rack of lamb, homemade-from-scratch green bean casserole, stuffing from the artisanal employee-owned grocery store (it's really good), cranberry sauce, and a wee pumpkin pie made in a half-size plate. Recipe by way of Joanne Chang and Rose Levy Beranbaum.

Squeak was busy last night

I’ve been over-thinking my posts. We had a Movie Afternoon accompanied by Jiffy Pop. That doesn’t mean I’m not horrified with what’s happening. But sometimes you need Jiffy Pop and a movie.

Squeak plans to sit this one out on top of the washing machine (with a few side trips for snackies, cat box, and shredding a paper bag or two)
