Friday marks 2 months since Helene struck Asheville and WNC. Last night’s gorgeous sunset and its reflection in the still, lazy river are at odds with the raging waters that devasted parts of the region. But these beautiful, ancient mountains and rivers survived and will outlast this disaster.
