It’s just a place and I’m just a person! Why is it the central narrative for “what’s really going on in this country.” Either way, we experience the same shit here you do everywhere else.

DID I SAY THAT? No I did not. It’s an existing media tactic. Where did I say Roxane is flyover media? I said I thought the use of Indiana in this context reinforces a trope! It’s fine to disagree babe. I’m not looking to tear anyone down, give it a rest.

It’s really not that hard to understand that because of flyover media tactics, using Indiana as an example of the Trump paradigm, even to refute it, is disingenuous. Also who even are you? Roxane can engage herself. This is a normal conversation.

That’s not what I’m saying either. Speak your experience. But I think you’re being disingenuous about using Indiana in this context. Whatever. Thanks for engaging.

Yes I respect Roxane and her work. She doesn’t live here anymore. And she had a tough time while here. But she doesn’t live here anymore.

No you don’t need to expose yourself to bigotry and you don’t need to reinforce the trope that people in small towns in the Midwest are all one kind of person.

You really seem to be invested in my behavior online. You my boss or something?

No but you chose Indiana to make a point. Also it’s 100k people here. We’re not all Trumpers. And you know that as you had some community here too.

She was Black in small town Illinois too. But that doesn’t make for a snippy bit about Trump country. The derision toward Black folks who still live here is strong from you. Get a life.
