I picked my son up at the airport today. He was wearing the purple and gold (LSU, natch) beanie I knitted for him probably 10 years ago. It makes me happy that he still uses it!

I did this with my HBio class today. I had them work in 3 stages: "just your brain" labeling/facts. Before I gave them the key word list, I had them highlight their original info. Used key word list to add more info. Finally, used notebook to add any missing info. It was great! Thanks for the idea!

I’ve taught my students to highlight or underline key terms. The ones who practice and use the skill do better on assessments. And I went over one test question and took apart how I knew they didn’t read the whole question.
