In 2022 I started The Wheel of Time and stopped after book 6 because I'm a coward. Starting from the beginning again, but this time I'm going to finish the entire thing or die trying.

I'm going to Pittsburgh this weekend for Pitt/Miami and Steelers/Bills and I made the mistake of looking at the weather forecast. Ya boy is gonna die.

Finished book number 200 for the year today. I've been putting in some real sicko reading hours in 2025 #BookSky📚💙

I try to engage in book communities online because none of my irl friends really read, but stuff like this drives me nuts. What do you mean you gave up because you didn't care about the characters after ONE CHAPTER?! If I based my opinions off of 1 chapter I'd hate almost every book I've ever read.

We have a family friend in town that I haven't seen in 7 years so I went over to play Risk with him and my dad. Of course I absolutely dominated the olds.

They modernized the Pittsburgh airport and all of the cool old parts are now closed. I'm absolutely devastated. RIP my childhood.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

Obviously I have to give some love to the GOATs

Year 3 of covering the Orlando Pride and Orlando City for the newspaper I grew up reading came to a close last night and it's still surreal that I get to do this tbh

A real who's who of poasters tbh

It's finally here! Huge fan of Travis Baldree's writing, definitely a nice change of pace from the dark, brooding, and depressing books I usually read.

Thanks, I hate it

Apparently it's going to be cold as balls Tuesday morning and I am not prepared for this

I enjoyed The Sword of the Lictor. The series keeps improving the further I get, and Wolfe is undeniably an incredible writer. Same faults as the others, the female characters are so poorly written, but it's less prevalent here.

"The Picture of Dorian Gray" is undoubtedly a classic, for better and for worse. Took me a while to get through because it didn't hook me at first like I thought it would, but I did appreciate it overall.

Similar issues with "The Claw of the Conciliator" as I had with the first one. So much of the story is really good, but then it randomly devolves into "lemme get at them tig ol biddies" and it's always weird.

Whenever Severian isn't around a female character the writing in "The Shadow of the Torturer" is really good. But the way Severian as a narrator and Wolfe as the author talks about women is, uh, not great.

A little taste of what we're cooking up. Saying I'm proud of these kids would be the understatement of the year.

If you're in Orlando and want to come support local high school bands on Saturday, come on out to our Music Performance Assessment! The band I'm percussion director for goes at 7:10, but every band is worth seeing tbh

Did I also buy the audiobook so I could "re-read" sections while I'm commuting so I make sure I don't miss anything? 1000%
