Read no.21 of 2025 and book club no.5. This made me deeply uncomfortable but I guess that was the aim. The writing is very good but at the same time I wasn't sure how I was meant to view Tom Ripley, was he supposed to be some kind of anti-hero or was he just a repulsive human being 💙📚

We should be encouraging children and young people to read for pleasure, not making it a test. There's plenty of research that shows reading for pleasure improves outcomes
