Read no.21 of 2025 and book club no.5. This made me deeply uncomfortable but I guess that was the aim. The writing is very good but at the same time I wasn't sure how I was meant to view Tom Ripley, was he supposed to be some kind of anti-hero or was he just a repulsive human being 💙📚

Very disappointed that Hertfordshire @libdems.org.uk have resorted to Tory tactics by dressing up a flyer as a newspaper. I'd also be interested to see evidence for the paragraph circled in second picture, where I live Reform are (sadly) winning and I'm not sure GP supporters are voting Lib Dem

This little one joined our family a couple of weeks ago and it's safe to say she is a little 😈 for much of her waking hours but the first few minutes after she wakes from a nap, when she just wants a cuddle and a scritch, are just lovely 😍

Read no.20 of 2025 and book club no.4. If you want a book where nothing really happens, then this is for you. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me...

Read no.19 of 2025. It's pretty much what you'd expect from Philippa Gregory, but it's great to read things from Anne Neville's perspective. I'm off to rematch The White Queen now 📚💙

Read no.18 of 2025, book club read no.3 and reading challenge of complete (not stopping though).
I struggled with this to start with as found the story being written in the form of letters disorienting, but as I kept going I became invested in the characters, so I actually liked it in the end 💙📚

Read no.17 of 2025 - yes, it won the Booker Prize, and yes, it's beautifully written, but did I love it? Ermm,no, I didn't, actually. I came very close to DNFing, I'm afraid, as it just didn't engage me.

Read no.16 of 2025 - I absolutely devoured this, but then I do love a Lisa Jewell book. Just the right amount of intrigue and great character development. I need to read the sequel now 💙📚

After a couple of years with virtually no dahlia flowers, this year is shaping up nicely 😍

Read no.15 of 2025 - wasn't for me 📚💙

Read no.14 of 2025 - not as good as Fourth Wing, but I still loved. I've read all 3 books in the series back to back. I'm not sure how I'll manage to wait for the next one...📚💙

Read no.13 of 2025 - it's a nice story, but I didn't love it

Went out to the garden to bring the washing in, the washing felt like it'd been in the tumble dryer, and the bird food is melting 🫠 😱

Read no.12 of 2025 - I know lots of people love this, but sorry, it just wasn't for me 📚💙

I am pleased that this one has been given a clean bill of health at her annual health check this morning 😊 Don't think I'm her favourite person at the moment though...

Said goodbye to this gorgeous boy this morning 😢 Our hearts are broken but grateful for the time we had with him ♥️ 🌈

Read no.11 of 2025 - well written and kept me hooked for the most part, but the change in pace in the latter part confused me. I think I understand why it was written like this, but 🤷‍♀️ Fascinating true story, though 📚💙
May 13, 2025 at 2:29 PM
Read no.10 of 2025 - I didn't love it quite as much as Fourth Wing, but it's still a very good read. That ending, though...😭 Onto Onyx Storm now 📚💙

Saw this lovely little family on our way out of the Knebworth House garden show earlier today
