my favorite Half Life 1 glitch: Because of how the automatic voice-syncing works, the security guards mouth the beeps and boops you get when they punch in codes.

What makes the final phase of game development tiring isn't necessarily long hours. It's the intensity of the work itself. The number of pings you get, the amount of context switching, pushing several critical lanes at once. Tense decision-making. Solving complex bugs while the clock ticks down.

I worked at another studio that did this, giving the director's tickets automatic max priority which was named after him. Mental to think about it now.
