October birthday means your tea party ends up Halloween themed (non-disparaging)

There are elephant teapots, three-tier tea service trays laden with goodies (more on these in the following images), tarot-themed plates, a festive pumpkin, soup and salad, and for some reason a replica rotary dial telephone that plays spooky Halloween recordings. Closeup on a three-tiered tea caddy. Bottom tray has four finger sandwiches: chicken with jam, egg salad, cucumber, and salmon. Middle tray has an enormous crumbly scone with some very chunky jam and clotted cream with sliced strawberries. Top tray has more strawberries, a chocolate cupcake with orange frosting, a golden macaron, and a miniature black-and-white iced cookie. Overhead view of a cup of vanilla ice cream with even more strawberries and chocolate sauce. The cup sits atop a large white plate with the words “Happy Birthday” drizzled in more chocolate. Because there weren’t enough sweets. A white china teapot shaped like an elephant, with a complicated arrangement consisting of a foam drip catcher, tethered with elastic to a small white china cat, who looks like he’s riding the elephant. The elastic looks like reins. But really it’s holding the lid in place. It’s all very silly and adorable.

Sadly I think this is just light pollution and not aurora borealis. Stars are nice though.

There are brightly colored haloes around the lights on the waterfront, stars, lens flares, and a single gray cloud. More stars over islands in Burrard Inlet. The atmosphere is sort of glowing, but not really in an aurora kind of way.
