The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

Tap … tap … tap. This thing on?

Either I don't have enough people I am following, or the world has forgotten about this service. The last post on my feed is 13 days ago.

Boosting for visibility. Even if you're not in Seattle, probably your local blood bank would also love to hear from you.

What we're seeing now is exactly what we we warned about by some people—mostly Black people—a few years ago, specifically that what Republicans mean by "law and order" is using the law to maintain what they regard as the proper order of society, one topped by rich white men who are untouchable.

From the Archives (June 2009): Billy looking disapprovingly at me because I was looking at pictures of cats and not instead looking at (and petting) real cats.

Billy rarely had a disapproving look, so I must've really been in trouble.

Uh, no. The last protocol I really invested in was UUCP (I didn't love it), and it lost the war the day that always-on cable modems appeared in 1995.

So I try to avoid loving protocols & Internet services in general.

From the archives (June 2004): End of the month they arrived, the two Kittenzillas peacefully co-existing with Her Emilyness.

About then we realized the kittens, smaller than Emily at arrival, would grow up into the Brothers Catzilla.

Fortunately, Emily taught them manners when they were little.

From the archives (April 2014):

When I joined Google, I had 2 months training in California. The MINI was shipped west to frolic w/me in CA. I was going to drive it to Seattle after training.

Plans changed; the MINI went directly to Seattle.

But it did get to frolic in CA on a 2014 trip to SF. 😀
