Right populist and left populist both dealing in hyperbole.

Populists lying and exaggerating simply undermines democracy, and lays the groundwork for autocracy.

This is of course what the right populists want - but why the left populists do it too is beyond me.

Dick heads.

Already are to some extent - Met in London gets direct from the Mayor (same with Greater Manchester police and their Mayor), and the rest of the country have their elected - on a party platform - Police And Crime commissioners.

Being mean to Leeds fans is .... bullying?

Lordy.

Have ever been to a real game?

Fascinating disconnection between common sense and objective data, and elites.

The chants they made at the Ajax game last year are public record.

Allowing a repeat of that - which there would be, because a sizable minority of their travelling fans are bigots - would be to condone islamophobia.

And of course Millwall, West Ham, and Chelsea in London have groups who are equally awful.

I was at The Valley at Charlton, with my 10 year old son (so, about 15 years ago), playing Leeds, and before during and after the game the most common chant from the travelling Leeds support was a racist one about people from Pakistan (shorthand ofc for Muslims).

Unacceptable

Unless you're Jenrick

A biggish minority of their fans are open and explicit Islamophobes - as are fans of teams like Leeds.

Banning theire fans isn't antisemitism.

Not banning them would be to encourage islamophobia.

A liar and a racist.

And possibly next Tory leader.

Ridiculous. But also an open racist, and possibly next Tory leader.

Only if they vote in the same numbers.

Turnout for 18 to 25 was 37%.

Turnout for over 55's was 70%.

Electoral politics is a participation sport - if you don't bother to vote, don't expect parties to target policies at you.
