It’s so wrong. I’m probably over the top here but I’ve always thought that it wouldn’t hurt our local clubs to help to maintain the kids’ fields - or even a few players as payback. That where many of them started too. The amount of money in the game is ridiculous, so why can’t grassroots benefit?

He basically shows the same mentality as he always did Dave. I really hoped he’d be a bit different after winning a trophy with West Ham, who like us had won nothing for years. He did a great job to steady us after Dyche, but I just don’t think he’s got it in him to make us into a force.

The Henderson bandwagon has started rolling - everyone except Blues will jump on it and try to tell us he’s a better keeper than JP. Which of course he isn’t and never will be

I’m sure the new club management is thinking that way Ron, especially when you look at Palace and Newcastle last season. I just hope Davey has ditched the big game mentality he had first time round. If he has - then why not us? COYB!

Bloody hell, Rob! 😢Truly great memories from the best Everton side I ever saw. That late 60’s side were the nearest thing to pure football ever seen in this country. No bias, by the way - proven fact! 😜

Yes, a decent loaf is £4 or £5 now. I’ve taken to baking my own now. The mass produced stuff has its place but I’d rather buy a decent one or bake one.

Not too many decent bakers about now, unfortunately. When I was a kid in the South End there was a great one called Pike’s in Mill Street. Can remember the smell 60 years later! And Chalkin and Podd at the top of Penny Lane. Fabulous bakery, but closed down some time ago. Big loss!

What a player. I know many argue that Henry was the best foreign player to play in the PL but I’ve always thought that this guy was the most talented. Loved watching him
