I’m getting a bit fed up with these golf commentators and their love of American expressions. It’s not a ‘property’ it’s a bloody golf course. And ‘he made a bunch of puts..’, or ‘he hit it into a bunch of trees’. We use enough Americanisms in golf as it is. What would Peter Alliss make of it all??🤔

I understand and entirely sympathise with those who support the assisted dying bill. But history shows that whatever legal safeguards are put in place diminish over time, however well meaning the intent; but I accept it’s a completely heartbreaking situation if you or a loved one is involved. So sad

I’ve always felt that to have any credibility in a discussion you need to consider the opposing view as well as your own. Sometimes, reasonable people have the grace to change their minds. But MAGAs are so cultish that they follow Trump blindly, whatever he says, however outrageous, without question

Just watched the Attenborough doc ‘Ocean’. Absolutely breathtaking, but so worrying.The amount of damage Mankind has done to the oceans is scandalous, and it’s done without a second thought. Thank God there are signs of regeneration where oceans are left alone so let’s hope our species take the hint

I’ve just had an email from someone (‘Vehicle Excise Duty Department’) pretending to be DVLC telling me my car tax is overdue. The email looks convincing to be fair. But it’s a scam - it gives you the ‘facility’ to pay online. If you get one be very careful - you can check your car tax on Gov.uk
