Like all things MAGA, the plan to Balkanize the U.S. originates in Russia, in this case with Igor Panarin. When they attempt to foment civil war, it’s in service of their Russian masters to weaken the U.S. as a political rival. This was to be brought about by social and economic decay. That’s it.

This is exactly what they should be thinking. They don’t have the numbers to succeed and this they will fail. Certain failure won’t step them from futile gestures that will harm many good people. The higher the cost they impose, the more ruthless the reckoning will be. They recognize this.

You’d think they’d have learned to not dare the media to publish their source material after Signalgate but here comes the VP basically clearing the way for WSJ to publish the letter. Obviously, at some point the plan is to swap Vance for Trump and this may be the moment but man they are dumb.
