The sheer number of people Trump pardoned — 1,500+ — and the magnitude of violence many (most?) of them committed means it is statistically likely that a fair number will be revidivists, potentially for more egregious crimes. The pardons should be a top story EVERY DAY

Systems degrade slowly over time and then break suddenly, all at once. The regime is full of careless, stupid people who break things and then move on to break other things. Their private flights will still fly, for a while, but the age of mass air travel is ending, with massive social implications.

I honestly think we do ourselves enormous damage by joking about Russian technological advances. This is a genuinely groundbreaking moment and one we should all take a moment to recognise; a humanoid robot trained to perfectly mimic the gait and coordination of Dmitry Medvedev flawlessly.
A Russian company presented the country's first (per TASS) humanoid robot equipped with AI today; it didn't go very well. (The soundtrack is spot-on though)
