🧵 Here’s how the San Francisco/Bay Area changed in 2024 through the lens of real estate. This topic was my entryway into full-time journalism and it has taught me so much about how wealth and power influence our daily lives. It’s been a thrill to be in the @sfstandard.com newsroom:
Tremendous response by the Dubs, which started in the 2Q.

Steph/Jimmy/Dray rose to the occasion. Also not lost on anyone that GP2 thrived in those Kuminga mins tonight — although I will contend they’re either not used the same way or don’t play the same despite the tools.

I sat with Kaz Nejatian yesterday to discuss his vision for the new Opendoor. In his view, the company lost its way after the pandemic. He's already implemented sweeping changes, but chief amongst them is getting $OPEN back to building products. 👇

My colleague @leahygarrett actually met and corresponded with the family before they were discovered dead in their home in an apparent murder-suicide. Even though there were some troubling signs, no one thought this would be the end.
