John Finnis is making me reevaluate my prior assumptions about the dating and authorship of the Epistle of Barnabas. Written c.40 by Barnabas himself? I might’ve thought such a suggestion laughable yesterday. But he makes a good case! Why not? doi.org/10.1093/jts/...
