Weeking 8:
I was blocking out the environment and decided to add more animations besides the door itself, including the lifting platform and the floating ones.

Week 7:
I changed my original steampunk idea to a sci-fi style because I realized there were too many things to consider when creating the gear rotation animation.

For this assignment, I plan to create a wooden door with mechanical gears (a transmission mechanism). The door will automatically open when the gears start turning. The tentative style will be steampunk, inspired by the game Lies of P.

I did a thing! Jump scare warming

Week 4:
I’ve set up the environment — it’s going to be a tavern with a dark and eerie atmosphere (my reference is Inscryption). The interactive props for now are a TV, a statue, and various bottles and jars.

Tried a different atmosphere (imitated the atmosphere of Limgrave)

Week 3:
I tried shallow water and buoyancy simulation, but the results were not very good. When I increased the amplitude, the water surface showed some strange reflections. At the same time, there were significant frame drops, which I don’t really know how to solve.

Week2:
The environment still needs improvements in folige, lighting, and music(sounds). The collision volumes of the static meshes are a bit annoying. If I have time, I’ll try to fix this issue. Also, maybe I need more props to fill out the environment.

I opened a crack in the pitch-black cave to let in a ray of light. I hope this light not only adds variety to the cave environment but also directs the viewer’s attention toward the cave entrance.

week 1:
I want to imitate the opening of Shadow of the Erdtree—transitioning from a dark cave into a vast, bright valley. In this scene, the large altar on the high ground will serve as my focal point.
