Boston’s strides in biking infrastructure is nuanced. Shirley Leung highlighted the hurdles in bike lane progress with the Globe today. As a journalist who has covered bike lanes, and as a cyclist experiencing aggressive drivers daily, I recommend the read! www.bostonglobe.com/2025/08/14/b...
He supported Michelle Wu for mayor. Then the city put a bike lane in front of his Back Bay mansion. - The Boston Globe
It would be easy to paint Boston construction mogul Jay Cashman as anti-bike lane. He insists he’s not that guy.

Happy birthday to the Connecticut News Guild!

One year ago today, Hearst CT journalists announced we were forming a union.

Since then, we have withstood the company’s union-busting, won an election with 80% of the vote and become official NewsGuild of NY members.

Happy to see FIRE and Stanford Daily teaming up on this lawsuit against the administration’s despicable censorship crusade against immigrants. It’s a righteous case. I worry a bit that standing will be used to attack it by dishonest judges.

Congress has decided to claw back previously approved funding for public media.

This decision hurts people in communities across the country, but it has only strengthened our resolve to keep Americans informed and connected. (1/2)

Few places in the United States have inequality quite like Connecticut’s, where extreme wealth and extreme struggle coexist in startling proximity.

@tmcgillweather.bsky.social I appreciated your recent article on Connecticut Insider focusing on what's been influencing the previous cold weather patterns across the US. I'm currently trying to write an article covering the polar vortex for my student newspaper, any chance you take questions?
