Shame on Gov. Polis for vetoing this bill that would have made riding with ride-share companies much safer. Profits over people.

Gov. Jared Polis vetoes bill to tighten security, vetting of ride-share drivers in Colorado
The measure would have required ride-share companies to conduct background checks on their drivers every six months and to allow drivers or riders to request that every trip be recorded.

This is clarifying on the philosophical disagreement between YIMBYs and left-anti-YIMBYs. I think the changes we make to reduce housing costs and homelessness in the short/medium term are steps on the road to a radically better future, not distractions from some larger consciousness-raising project.
