Zohran Mamdani’s mayoralty is the final nail in the coffin of left-NIMBYism.

progressive pro-housing politics is the future
You probably don't know what SEQRA is - but you should know that it's slowing down the housing that we need. Deputy Mayor Leila Bozorg is here to explain why reforming it is key to cutting red tape and building more housing.

#CoLeg is actually considering giving IMMUNITY to utility companies that start wildfires in CO. It’s insane. @kylec.bsky.social you should look into this!

Shame on Gov. Polis for vetoing this bill that would have made riding with ride-share companies much safer. Profits over people.

Gov. Jared Polis vetoes bill to tighten security, vetting of ride-share drivers in Colorado
The measure would have required ride-share companies to conduct background checks on their drivers every six months and to allow drivers or riders to request that every trip be recorded.

This is clarifying on the philosophical disagreement between YIMBYs and left-anti-YIMBYs. I think the changes we make to reduce housing costs and homelessness in the short/medium term are steps on the road to a radically better future, not distractions from some larger consciousness-raising project.
