Bill Evans wouldn't be Bill Evans were it not for classical music.

Natural Note=Bill Evans was honored at Lincoln Center, but not by POTUS 45/47.

Scary sheet music

Did the East Wing dig Bill?

How would it have sounded had African-American pianist Natalie Hinderas played Stockhausen the way she played John Cage?

Granted, the USA is NOT the greatest country, EVER, in the history of the multi-verse.

But the country that gave the world country music is surely better than THIS.

#NowSpinning from the Bis Complete Sibelius Edition, the incidental music to Hoffmansthal’s play ‘Everyman’. This is properly haunting stuff. Pure Sibelius, too.

I just discovered the MP3 Tag app.

I never realized how much Sibelius I had on my HD.

Now that I can find it, I can listen to it.

If asked to review two books of biography and poetry, I'd pair the Notting Hill edition of «The Lake Poets» with Thomas De Quincey's «Recollections of the Lakes and the Lake Poets» (1862), on Wordsworth, Coleridge, Southey and others in their circle.

Utmost respect for the true statement @keithrrichard.bsky.social‬ makes: Music IS subjective. So, good critics never dictate Truths. A writer can only speak personally AS a fan, not FOR Truths. Some theories are just better argued than others, that's all.
