Black History Month is a time to recognize the lived, shared experience of all Black folks who have fundamentally shaped, challenged, and ultimately strengthened America. It’s about taking an unvarnished look at the past so that we can create a better future.

I grew up with hundreds of vinyls on Old School Dual turntables with JBL waffle-front 12-inch speakers and 200-watt Kenwood Amps, pre-amp and tuners.

My childhood sounded NICE.

Replacement theory is a real and insidious thing in America.

Fairly recent arrivals--black, red, yellow, white--all believe that whatever shit-hole country they came from is "replaceable".

Hence, no sense of shared history.

Hence, a highly fractured politics easily manipulated along race-lines.

Reason The US is a barbarous country is it has a slum-lord mentality and actually, fucking, believes everbody wants to BE them.

When the majority of Americans can't even name a state capital, much less a world capital..

Come the fuck on, does anybody really BE 45/47?

White people?

Ma mamma fried chicken v. Kentucky Fried Chicken.

You consume Diet Coke and McDonalds all day every day, you're not even "complicit".

65 million US voters endorse that, even Hitler would be disgusted.

Hitler turned his back on Jesse Owens at the Berlin Olympics.

Crackers hate black Superiority.

I have MUCH bigger fish to fry.

But here's how everyday-complicity works.

You really wanna freeze out Minnesota?

Shut KFC the fuck down.

4 thighs, medium fries and a sugar-drink for 18$

People need to keep auto-autocracy 100% real.

"Performative" is the right word here.

Americans hate change.

The United States beat Germany 5-1 but came up short of earning the top seeding from the preliminary stage of the men's Winter Olympic ice hockey tournament on Sunday, as they finished second-best to Canada heading into the knockout stages.

Either be part of the solution or be part of the problem.

First troller who reasonably posts that I (a resistance writer) Kevin Athony Brown am part of the problem and not the solution, I delete my Blue Sky post--quick, fast and in a Manhattan hurry.

Left a VM for my son, whom I haven't hugged in 10 years.

HE chose to cut ties with me.

I'm 65. He's 21.

Never gonna be sorry for taking the high road.

My mathematician son is smart.

Not wise.

Opposing editors fear a writer like Kevin Anthony Brown, sober.

Snarl, skills, attitude, CENTURIES of generational talent.

Unfortunately (for them) I believe 45/47 is a historical figure worthy of serious study.

Just wait till you hear what I have to say about Stendhal.

Whom POTUS 44 has read.

Reassuring numbers!

How many of you have quit drinking, cold-turkey?

I don't enjoy alcohol.

Alcohol jacks my joy.

So, why not just stop?

Doesn't work that way😒

Addiction is inter-generational.

This is context, not an excuse.

I ask myself what about South America, Southeast Asia, Southern Africa, the Caribbean?

Reporters and broadcaster on BBC America simply can't continue to mask this fundamentally glaring problem.

Right-wing reaction didn't come out of nowhere.

Vast numbers of US citizens voted for dictatorship.

If vote is the right word for the choices a rigged system gave to an under-educated electorate.

Yes it’s Valentine’s Day. But it’s also the chosen birthday of Frederick Douglass who was born in 1818 on a plantation in Talbot County, Maryland. He escaped from slavery & rose to become the most eloquent and forceful voice for the abolition of slavery & for Black voting rights in the U.S.
