All new technologies are created and used by humans, so they reflect human nature. Innovation can’t escape the physical world: bias in AI, power and wealth concentration in blockchains. If we want better tech, we need to solve these problems in meatspace first.

You can’t cut funding to universities, signal to kids that using ChatGPT to write the papers is ok, and expect professors to save the day and the educational system without financial support to completely overhaul the curriculum.
