this is the original post we're all replying to, tho. so it's disingenuous for you to now say "well, what i meant was no one's saying that." if that's what you meant, maybe shoulda led with that.

baton rouge, a poor city in the 2nd poorest state in the nation, has, somehow, a world-class library system. it lends hotspots, a dobsonian telescope, board games; has a seed library, a puzzle exchange, a recording studio, classes, performances, story times. so of course voters didn't renew its tax.

yep, the narrative was a mess from the get-go. i tried. but even my most pro-library friends thought a no vote meant protecting the library's funds. and gary chambers told all his followers to vote no. so here we are.

this sucks. the library didn't do a good job explaining why we should vote for it. i tried, i really did, but even my educated friends were confused about what the vote actually meant.

this is reassuring bc we recently adopted our VERY FIRST EVER kitten, and she nurses while making biscuits. per the shelter, her mama cat was deceased, so we don't know how early she was weaned but it always makes me sad when she nurses on a blanket. but she otherwise seems quite happy!

bc an image is an image, even if it's it's an image of words. a screen reader can only read words. if you download this & open it with basic adobe, it's not searchable. but if you type it into a word document, it is. (fancy $$$ adobe could convert most of it, but screen readers aren't $$$ fancy.)
