Debating which terrible company is the least terrible to buy Christmas gifts from while also weighing the fact that I want to save money and whether I could find the items at a store vs having to deal with shipping. I hate how hard this season has become.

When you find an adorable kitten and your spouse says "don't become a crazy cat lady" that doesn't mean I can't adopt the kitten, right? It just means don't become a crazy cat lady. My crazy has nothing to do with cats.

Yesterday at Costco I spent 10 minutes playing the Star Wars pinball machine they have for sale. I was all three players but check out that Player 2 score. If I could have hit the Death Star I would have gotten a mega bonus. Unfortunately the 3yo wouldn't let me keep playing.

Let me preface this by saying I don't drink coffee but as a person with a working nose that appreciates and enjoys the smell of freshly ground coffee, the Starbucks Season's Cheer coffee smells atrocious. My 3 yo is currently freaking out about how bad it smells.

After trying pine litter and getting an immediate refusal I'm now trying World's Best litter. I only mixed in a little bit but Sunshine (the refuser) took advantage as soon as I cleaned the box. Cookie is TBD. Poop odor is just killing us. The pee doesn't smell at all. *rages at sky in frustration*

We have a family at our preschool that are Afghan asylum seekers. Luckily they have the support of our community and the church that sponsors them but not all families do. They just want to live and work like everyone else. This is so frustrating and disheartening.
The Afghan families already here under asylum are about to lose all their SNAP benefits, and all their applications for lawful permanent residency have been suspended. These are people who helped the US at great personal risk, and now they're trapped here to starve.

Looked up my Arc'teryx Atom SV jacket that I bought on prodeal years ago at REI thinking "maybe they'll be on sale and my family can all chip in for a new one as my Christmas present!" Hahahahaaa *gags*
$350. It's the best jacket ever but no. I can't do that price. That's insane.

My children ate zero thanksgiving dinner unless you count the 3yo discovering she LOVES cold sweet corn straight from the can and then consuming a bowl of it. I think I will.

I made flourless chocolate cookies that are basically all sugar and dark chocolate chips. Too bad we're all too full to eat them.
