It is my birthday, and a lot of things suck, but the Avs, Nuggets, and Broncos all won; my sweetie has ensconced me in a Midcentury train car VRBO for the evening with tiki cocktails and chargrilled oysters, I have 5 great kids who chose wisely in love, and the world's best dog. i am content!

Toast -- the grey tabby -- thinks I am history's greatest monster because I had to slather the Christmas decoration electrical cords with habenero sauce so he would stop fucking chewing them. Josie is comforting him.
