There really is a mental disturbance that comes from being in the hospital itself! I've had several relatives get back to normal after going home. Something about being unbalanced by illness + an unfamiliar environment? Fingers crossed that's what it is.

Every time that happens I am struck with how there is just no possible way to reply to that statement. I think the worst I ever got was "Oh you definitely look Jewish! But in an attractive way."

On the one hand I love that my weird little guy has been getting in the habit of sleeping cuddled up next to me when he usually used to stay near the foot of the bed at night
On the other hand, he breathes very loud and I'm a light sleeper and it's 3:30 am and only ONE of us is asleep
