The gaming technology focussed team at Digital Foundry has recently been examining the long-awaited next game in the beloved Mario Kart series Mario Kart World for the Nintendo Switch 2. Digital Foundry says that judging from analysis of their footage the game's resolution is at 1440p without TAA or temporal upsampling. They go on to say that the game runs at a buttery smooth 60fps, which is to be expected, while the game's Photo Mode runs it at 30fps.

Video game journalist Tom Henderson is reporting on Insider Gaming that Nintendo has plans for a 3-phase launch for their upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console. Firstly the console is expected to launch in June 2025 and the majority of games available at launch will be first party Nintendo games. Nintendo will announce those said titles at the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct next week, along with the console release date and pricing.
