At risk of being labeled as “not serious about the rivalry” this Purdue fan genuinely hopes IU delivers a heartbreaking loss to the Buckeyes

Great opportunity to unify a majority of the country behind “everybody in charge of everything, even your political party, sucks big time but together that gets changed like tomorrow” It would be cool if it was used!

I thought this post seemed like a reasonable and compelling request, and after seeing the replies I’m wondering if we’re mostly babies

It looks like James plays football at UNLV, which suggests he was born in the mid aughts. What did Barry know??

Referencing a record of 5-14 suggests this was written after Purdue’s loss to Oregon this season, or maybe during the eventual loss to Northwestern. Walters’ complete record at Purdue was 5-19.

When I was a kid and I learned some wild animals will lash out when they sense fear, I didn’t understand why they’d protect themselves against something that perceived itself as vulnerable. Now I’m starting to get it.

You’re welcome! Looking forward to hearing what you find and choose, so I can justify buying even more sweatshirts.

From my wardrobe

Value: Eddie Bauer
Surprisingly good: LL Bean
Most worn/durable: Patagonia
Best looking: Arcteryx (wool/synthetic blend)
Want but don’t have: Asket

Keep them soft by only hanging dry after washing, never machine dry. Especially synthetics!

I had friends text me congratulations after the 2018 win and that felt really special to me. People texting, that is.

My biggest fear is a terrorist attack that the media reports to be a result of the war in Gaza. GOP blames democrats and leans heavily on Trump’s willingness to brutalize the region in response. There’s seemingly no limit to how many votes you can get for war after terrorism.

Medical research supports that, yet every almost every organization on Earth trusts individuals who have soaked their brains in power for years or decades to make choices that benefit the entire organization. We need to see a brain on power as a brain on drugs. www.theatlantic.com/magazine/arc...

Agreed! I was able to make a lot more sense of the world after reading Humankind by Rutger Bergman. Basically, humans naturally want to support each other but man-made social experiences teach them to be selfish, and they become self serving in proportion to the power they obtain.

Unsubscribed from [declining news site of renown], immediately subscribed to Flaming Hydra. I recently subscribed to Defector and already find it more informative, thought provoking, and entertaining than the stuff I was reading. Thank you all for demonstrating how quality organizations are made.

This sounds great! Breakfast burritos in my area are lacking in quality, do you have a recipe or any tips for making them?

This was a pre-Halo release by Bungie and it whipped. Hundreds of hours logged.
