Agreed, but the accounts I'm talking about are often one person rescues or other charities who devote all their spare time to running them and would struggle to maintain multiple platforms. I don't know the answer tbh.

You couldn't really do the things they do FB on a platform like this unfortunately. I think they'd need to have websites instead but that's not easy if you don't know what you're doing and they'd probably lose a lot of followers in the process. I don't know the answer tbh.

Trump will threaten economic pressure to try and get the rules changed. Whether he'll follow through with is another matter.

Whilst I tend to agree banning FB could be disastrous for some accounts. I am a member of, or follow a number of small cat rescues, for instance. Their only presence is FB. My own to cats came from a local one. Many charities or SMEs would struggle if FB was suddenly removed. It's why I've stayed.
