I worry about my brain sometimes. When I woke up, the first thing that popped into my head was Samuel L Jackson singing Beez in the Trap.

People complain that Americans don't learn other languages. This is primarily due to the fact that the drive from Bangor, Maine, to San Diego, California, is longer than the drive from London to Jerusalem.

It’s been 20 years since Madonna released Hung Up as the lead single from Confessions on a Dance floor. Time goes by, so slowly — my ass it does.

Tony Todd was correctly left out of the In Memoriam segment at the Emmys. He was almost entirely a movie actor. His TV roles were guest roles, with a few of those recurring (e.g. Worf's brother Kurn on TNG/DS9). It *was* absolutely criminal for the Oscars to not include him earlier this year.

It's crazy how fragmented television has become. People are out here winning Emmys for shows I've never even heard of -- the Studio, Adolescence, and Somebody Somewhere.

If a new Pine/Quinto/Saldana Star Trek movie ever finally gets made, at this point the gap between between ST:Beyond and this 4th movie will be greater than the gap between the end of TOS and The Motion Picture.

Don't miss the 3-minute post-credits scene in today's "Four-and-a-Half Vulcans" episode of SNW.

When they filmed What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, Bette Davis and Joan Crawford were both younger than I am now.

I hate the fact that Wicked Part 1 had no subtitle while Part 2 is “For Good” — the lack of symmetry is annoying. “Wicked: Defying Gravity” should’ve been on every poster.

I never knew that The Opposite Sex (1956) is a remake of one of my favorite movies, The Women (1939). The newer movie has Joan Collins in the Joan Crawford role and Agnes Moorehead as the Countess! Watching it now!

In D&D Honor Among Thieves, it's been debated how Regé-Jean Page's character, human paladin Xenk Yendar, could be so youthful at over a hundred years old. In a rewatch, I noticed he mentions the Tenets of the Ancients. At high level, an Oath of the Ancients paladin stops aging. Nice.

Very excited that season 4 of Strange New Worlds started filming today! Season 3 has been in post-production since May 2024 and we should get an announced start date soon!

Holy fuck, dead at 39. Complications from her recent liver transplant are the suspected cause. She will always be Buffy's younger sister Dawn to me.
Michelle Trachtenberg, ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Gossip Girl’ actress, dead at 39
The actress was found dead in her New York City apartment on Feb. 26.

I saw a claim that RFK Jr won’t be able to ban access to mental health medications like he wants to because the pharmaceutical industry is more powerful than the government. Which is surprisingly encouraging. Dystopian AF but encouraging.

Ezri once told Worf, "The Klingon Empire is dying, and I think it deserves to die … I know this sounds harsh, but the truth is you have been willing to accept a government that you know is corrupt. Gowron is just the latest example."

Later that day, Worf killed Gowron.

This is a post about DS9.

How thrilling to be a year older than Mikhail Baryshnikov was when he appeared as Carrie's Russian boyfriend on Sex and the City

My toxic trait is judging people online for misspelling the names of Star Trek characters WHOSE NAMES ARE ONSCREEN IN THE OPENING CREDITS OF EVERY FUCKING EPISODE.
