Ex-radio guy, now IT guy. Probably not very interesting.
When Liggett finally put messages that cigarettes were addictive on its packages around 2000, the joke was that the other cigarette companies said, “We’ve known for years that Liggett cigarettes are addictive.”

“But my kid is going as the cable guy!”

I met an impossibly sweet tuxedo cat about five years ago. She followed the dog and me over 2 miles home on a walk, set up in my backyard for several weeks, and always came back.

In a head-to-head, Coach Cantley would probably lose that contest!

Tried to track him down and found out he died about three years ago at 61. I shouldn't have been surprised. He was HUGE!

I couldn't find the picture as it's behind a paywall at the Tulsa World, but here's the caption!

184 oysters in 10 minutes! 😮

One of my old high school teachers won an oyster eating contest. At the end, quite-a-few people were throwing up and just about everybody was moving a lot more slowly from being stuffed. He stood up and said, "Anyone got a doggie bag?"

Another strike against Penn is that it's Trump's alma-mater.

I thought the movie "Her" sucked rocks through a straw, but it almost seems ahead of its time now.

(I actually thought it could've, and should've, been a very funny movie about a guy who falls in love with an operating system and doesn't realize it. That he knew all along ruined it, IMHO.)

BTW - Don’t know if you remember, but this was what The City was a few iterations earlier. The format moved to 107.3 in 1992.

BTW - Prior to The City, KC had smooth jazz for a couple years in the late 80’s. 98.9 was KCWV “The Wave.” It became KRVK “The River” in 1989 before becoming “The Rock” in ‘92.

I loved 106.5 The City, too! Used to set my alarm to it. The only thing I didn’t like was that it would totally put me to sleep at work.

Funny part is, it only went off-air a couple years ago. If you had an HD Radio, you could hear it in all its glory, but no people and few commercials.
