the most rewarding thing about publicly reading a bunch of books last year was having people come up to me and go "you know I read such and such book from your recommendation and really loved it." It's something we've lost as reading becomes less frequent & the variety of books continually increases

Finally, I say this as a therapist...in 1994, eating a Little Caesar's Spaghetti Bucket while listening to Pure Moods would have gotten empirically similar results to a CBT/SSRI combo
