Back when I worked in this business over a decade ago, the interviewer would identify themselves as from the company we hired to do the field work, not our polling firm and definitely not our client (the candidate).

I walked into a bar in Vegas last summer that proudly announced that they have 365 beers. How about a pils? “One, but we’re out.” Lager? “Stella or this strawberry thing.”
