At 2:45PM today the DOW is down over 2,100 points (5.7%). Added to the prior two days it's down 3,700 pts (9.1%). Just think MAGATS if your 401K stood at $250,000 on the day 47 was sworn in, you have now lost more than $25,000 in real money. How much longer can you hold on to your retirement plan?
It was 81 years ago yesterday that my Father along with a million or so of his closest friends waded ashore in Normandy to defeat the Nazis and protect our Democracy. I am sickened that our nation is now threatened by the same kind of narrow minded law and order thugs like Steven Miller.

Secretary Hegseth continues to demonstrate that he is not up to the task of leading our armed forces. Every day it becomes more clear that his leadership puts Georgia servicemembers at risk and threatens all of our safety.

Received a message from a Canadian friend today asking how we were doing under the reign of the Orange Monster. I was ashamed to respond and admit we are still somehow hanging onto faint hope that "this too shall pass." I am beyond tired of the abuse and will this day forward stand up and RESIST!

For the 8 plus decades of my life I have relied on the NYTimes and/or the Washington Post for the news. I am sorry for my grandchildren and their children as these two giants of real Journalism are no longer alive. They have been taken over by MAGA billionaires and are no longer trustworthy.

The renovation and re-opening of Gulag-47 (formerly Quantanamo) was announced yesterday. The maximum occupancy has been 800 since 2001. The Orange One says he will stack them up to increase the capacity to 30,000. Isn't this how the concentration camps began 80 years ago?

The Orange monster has just ordered a temporary (?) stop of all Federal Aid programs. This includes Food Stamps. Hmmm...just wondering how the many poor Georgia people who voted for him will be able to afford groceries. And they were so happy to "have their Country back."

For the first time in memory, I agree with Mitch McConnell. He voted against the appointment of Pete Hegseth for Defense Secretary. Hegseth was appointed after VP Vance broke a 50-50 tie in the Senate. It was just the second time history. Happy to find that Mitch has the temerity to oppose 47.

I will never understand how January 6, 2021 was not the dealbreaker. I held onto the hope that he would yield to better judgment. I was encouraged by the recent words of the VP Elect who opposed pardons for those who acted with violence. I am done, finished. This man is a monster pure and simple.
